Crowdsourcing Web Design
2010, Apr 28
Indiatimes,
the web portal from the Times Group, has recently launched a crowdsourcing
contest along with Microsoft and the Webby Awards to redesign its shopping
portal: shopping.indiatimes.com.
The Website Redesign Pitch Challenge will get participants to redesign the
shopping portal's homepage, product description pages and mobile category
pages.
Participants, mostly agencies participating
in the Webby Awards, have been provided a brief to follow while redesigning the
pages. The brief highlights the target audience, certain triggers that might
help the designers, specifics for the design, and key elements they should be
including.
This competition is open to designers
representing their agencies, with winners getting Rs 2 lakhs and a ticket to
the 14th Annual Webby Awards Gala in New
York City, NY. This
is one of the first Indian initiatives to look for a crowdsourcing answer to
its website design needs.

Is there a link to the contest? Or is it hosted somewhere here in brand potion? Can’t find it.
