Facebook Showcases Ads
2011, Apr 20
Facebook further
strengthens its relationship with marketers, by launching Facebook Studio , a
platform where ad agencies can upload their campaigns. These campaigns can be
viewed and commented on as well. Within the gallery, the campaigns are
categorised on the basis of date, number of times shared, region and language.
The platform also features tips on advertising & marketing your brand on
Facebook.
The best campaigns
will go in the Spotlight section; Facebook later plans to have a panel of
judges pick the best from Spotlight and hand out Facebook Awards, though those
details are yet to be finalised. What's interesting is that all these campaigns
are centred on the usage of Facebook. Marketers must have made use of Facebook
to promote their idea. Facebook Studio also has a Learning Lab section where
advertisers can discuss with their peers and also find educational material in
how to make use of Facebook for promotion.
It's quite an
interesting concept considering Facebook recently crossed the billion-dollar
mark for its advertising revenue. But as we mentioned earlier, Facebook still
hasn't reached in the big league of companies such as Yahoo and Microsoft. This
will help them in getting more brands to use their platform to advertise and,
in return, generate more revenue. Considering they now have increased cost of
ads by 40%, Facebook Studio will help them in garnering more attention from
brands and also make up for the increase in cost. All in all, it's a beneficial
tool for marketers and ad agencies as this community will not only help brands
to get visibility but also get some inspired ideas.
