Is Your Ad Worth Spreading?
2010, Dec 27
Have you ever wondered if your ad is worth showing
the world? Well, TED Conferences is asking
the same question, and if the answer's ‘yes', they're going to do their part in
getting your work out there. Their Ideas
Worth Spreading tagline modified to Ads
Worth Spreading TED, the promoters of creativity in technology,
entertainment and design, have launched a project promoting creativity in
advertising as well.
Through this project, TED aims to promote
creative individuals, by showcasing their video ads on the official TED website
and through other affiliated mediums: their
blog, tweets and Youtube
page. The 10 winning entries will also be unveiled at the TED2011 symposium
in California.
The winning entries will be chosen by the
judges based on the fundamental idea that these ads are what people
want to talk about. As curator Chris Anderson says, on the TED site, "We want
to encourage development of ads-with-a-difference-ads that engage our audience
authentically, intelligently, delightfully. Ads that people will want to share
because, like the rest of TED, they encapsulate ideas worth spreading."
The contest is open right now, and will
close on 7 February 2011. If you think you've got an ad worth spreading, head here.
