JC Penney Asks ‘Who’s your Santa!’ This Christmas

The holiday season has begun and JC Penney,
the department store chain, is up and ready with their ‘Who's your Santa!'
campaign. JC Penney is giving out Santa Tags to people who buy gifts from their
stores. These cards will have QR codes which the consumer can scan with the
help of QR code reader on their smartphone, record a 60-second personal voice message
for the recipient, and stick the card on the gift.
Recipients can scan the code again and
listen to the voice message. This personal touch is an effort made by JC Penney
to encourage consumers to buy more from the stores. Such stickers are now available in 1,100 JC
Penney stores.
This is just one part of the 'Who's your
Santa!' campaign. A Facebook game is
next in line which will be launched on 28 November. JC Penney will also make
its debut on Google+ as a part of this campaign.
The tagline 'Who's your Santa!' suggests
that JC Penney wants their consumers to feel that anyone can be a Santa for
their loved ones.
