Remember Dragee? That hippie-inspired guru of Mentos's mind over matter techniques? Mentos first introduced the guru in March, via some viral videos aimed at creating a ‘shock and awe' effect, and did garner a few million viewers for that.

Well, the guru is back with some ‘Life Guidance' videos that have been tailor-made for your Facebook friends who are vain, boring or lovelorn. The videos can be accessed from the US Mentos Facebook page , where users can watch videos of themselves or custom-make videos of their friends. The app inserts the person's name, interests etc into the video. Here's a sample of what the video looks like:



We'd earlier written about how being different for the sake of being different seemed to be Mentos's mantra when they first introduced Dragee. Now, however, they seem to have gotten back on track, using social networking to connect with non-Mentos fans through Mentos fans. The videos seem poised to have their fair share of takers, at least until the novelty wears off. We wouldn't put this campaign alongside Old Spice's Twitter-meets-Youtube campaign.
