If you've been keeping abreast of the advertising world, you'll have noticed a couple of ads that have been buzzing. The first, Samsung's 'Apple fanboy' ad, takes on one of the tech world's biggest advertisers: Apple. The ad makes light of the 'Apple fanboys' and their unwavering belief in all that is Apple.

Not surprisingly, Samsung wasn't the first to take on the Cupertino-based giant; Motorola spoofed Apple's legendary '1984' ad while promoting the Xoom tablet. However, while Motorola was bashed for their Apple spoof, Samsung's found quite a few takers for their ad.

Now, Samsung wants to replicate that success, this time on one of the biggest advertising stages: the Super Bowl. With a teaser in place, the Korean company is betting big on their ad garnering quite a few views during the televised event.

Another company planning on taking their success to the next level is Volkswagen. The company made advertising and YouTube highlights when they released ‘the Force' in 2011. In fact, 'the Force' was the most-shared ad of 2011. Now, VW has launched 'the Bark Side', another light-hearted, Star Wars-themed ad. This one has also got quite a few tongues wagging. 'The Bark Side' is VW's 60-second teaser to their Super Bowl campaign.
