Viral Video: Coca-Cola’s Happiness Machine Gets Bigger (And Some Wheels)
2011, Feb 23 Coca-Cola is looking to top the success of
its viral "Happiness Machine" campaign; and they're clearly following the
mantra ‘Bigger Is Better'. The latest edition of their "Happiness" campaign
takes the vending machine, expands it and adds four wheels to take it through
cities around the world. The first videos show the truck in Rio
De Janeiro, Brazil
and Marikina, Philippines.
The Happiness Machine didn't just dole out
bottles of Coke, and neither does the Happiness Truck. The video shows
surprised (happily so, we admit) people pulling footballs, frisbees, beach
chairs, skateboards and even surfboards out of the Truck.
Coke's "Happiness Machine" received over 3
million hits on Youtube, and was even shortened to a 30-second TVC for US TV. The
Happiness Truck videos will not be shortened, however, as they're meant for a
more local impact. In India,
the machine has made its way to campuses in Punjab.
Will the Happiness Truck make its way to Indian cities too? We hope so.
What do you think of Coke's Happiness
Truck? Let us know in the comments below.

brilliant marketing concept. very simple yet out of the box. spreading happiness is just a plain thought that would come to anybody’s mind but implementing as a marketing theme is a applauding approach.
Replyi like the fact that the machines not only distribute Coca Cola bottles but also a simple object of affection; a flower. its more personal rather than just a marketing campaign.
HAPPINESS MACHINE- way to go.
i would like to see the truck in Mumbai too.

Agreed Pepsi is doing better campaigns with world cup this year, however I feel those ads are short lived and are solely dependent on the performance of the team also maybe its effect will last only until the end of the world cup.. Happiness Machine is the unique and different way in which Coca-Cola is marketing which will always be re-called…. :)

Good concept. It will work. But Pepsi seems to be doing a better campaign with the world cup this time.
