The makers of the original ‘People's Car', Volkswagen (VW), are finally turning to the people for their next advertisement. VW Canada has started an initiative to crowdsource ideas via Facebook in order to promote the VW Golf.



Fans of the car can visit the VW Canada Facebook page to ‘make' their ads. They then get the option to choose the script, music, cast and car. The carmaker also promises to credit the fan at the end of the ad. This will be the third ad in the ‘Drive Until' campaign; the previous ads featured the taglines ‘Drive until you find the courage' and ‘Drive until it's time' respectively.





Admakers have often turned to crowdsourcing as a source to gather ideas, but VW Canada takes it to another level altogether. It gives the user complete authority to decide how the ad should be made.
