I wld request BP team to also publish the reason for selected winners in every competition going fwd coz few of the winning entries in competitions held till date seem baffling.

Glad to see I’m not the only one in this.

@RDx274 – We appreciate your position, and will note that your ad clearly shows off the amount of work you’ve put into it. However, that being said, we leave the decision of the winning ads to the brand (Frameboxx). We can tell you, and any other entrant in the competition, this much: the winning ads were chosen by the brand for best representing what they want to depict. That is not to say that your ad is not good, just that it wasn’t what the brand was looking for at this time.
We hope that this will not deter you from competing on BrandPotion, but instead compel you to understand how both brands and consumers think, and achieve that delicate balance between the two.

@ Brandpotion
I am still waiting for an update on this. I refuse to accept defeat so easily until I recieve information on why those winners won and why mine lost.
Thank you

Its easy for you guys to talk this way as you’ll have won something. I feel my idea and my execution was excellent yet it amounted to nothing at all. But thats something completely different.
My main question is how was the judging done. On what basis were 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize awarded. Why?
1st place winner, Bhavins 2D to 3D ISN’T CORRECT. Frameboxx doesn’t teach anything in 2D animation. I STUDIED there and know it first hand. All 3D softwares are taught such as Max and Maya for 6 months yet absolutely nothing of Flash for 2D animation.
2nd place winner, is an extremely well know catch line used in advertisments that started after the success of the Robot movie. There is absolutely no connection to Frameboxx in the advertisment. You can replace the bottom half of that print and make ANY ad using that idea. How fair is that?
3rd place winner, Tronjeet Singh is perhaps the only creative idea in the list but again he has used a commercial font in the text – Century Gothic Bold. So technically he should have been disqualified right away!
Now can someone me why these prints still won? On what basis or am I left to think that someone somewhere just pulled chits?

Rdx…thank you for the detail explanation again..ok now i got your point its the matter of your “TIME IN CREATING ON AD + EXECUTION IN EXCELLENCE = PRIZE”…..do you believe in this calculation, then you are kid…grow up buddy…chk out chander’s and others participants idea on BP site its gr8 and phenomenon….sometimes he/they won, sometime he/they loss…but he/they doesnt cribs for the awards/ prize… all maturity in design & in competition will come over experience, you just need to keep your eyes open…..if you have registered here for PRIZES, then i feel this is not the right place for you…to design or working in ad ind. i feel we just need passion for it… last not the least….you are really putting your RDx dynamite for unnecessary reason in this wall…on which BPT team already shared with you..

Yes it’s true, I second what Sumit said. Winning is not about how many hours you work on your creative. Execution is secondary, always strong Idea leads someone to win the competition. It depends if idea requires a time taking execution. I’ve gone through many winning ads in the advertising industry where you hardly find the execution.
