How can I join BrandPotion?

In order to connect with your favourite brands and their customers or take part in advertising contests launched by the brands on BrandPotion.com, you need to register yourself and complete your personal profile. As a registered user, you become a Beeper, an official community member.


Who launches the creative contests?

National and international brands. You will find a brief on the contest: a short description on the contest - details on what you need to do, how to develop and guidelines on materials you need to create your ads (brand logo, images, etc).


I didn't receive the activation e-mail. What do I do?

Check your received mails, junk mails and trash; the activation e-mail may have been defined as spam by your mail provider. If you haven't received a mail, please contact the BrandPotion team at admin@brandpotion.com.


What kind of contributions can I upload for each contest and is there a restriction on the number of uploads?

You can upload different kinds of contributions: TV, Print, Radio, Banner and even concepts - which are, basically, your ideas in a document. There's no limit to the number of contributions you can make in a single contest. You can also make an ad using a concept posted by another Beeper; if you do, you have to specify it when you upload your work, and you will share the winnings, if any, with the concept's creator.


How can I change or delete one of my contributions?

An uploaded contribution cannot be replaced by a new version. If you want to make some changes, big or small, you will have to upload a new version, and mail the BrandPotion team to delete the previous one. You can't keep the votes and comments that your previous ad received. If you want to remove your work from the contest for any reason, you have to mail a request to the BrandPotion team at remove@brandpotion.com who will decide whether to approve your request or not.


The print ad that I have uploaded is not visible. Why?

To avoid any visualisation problem, your images have to be uploaded in RGB mode and not in CYMK. To change the colour mode and make your ad visible, in Photoshop, you have to do the following: Image > Mode > RGB. Save and re-upload the print ad.


When I upload a concept I have to fill out the claim. What is that?

The claim is the sentence that contains the concept meaning, it is also defined as a 'slogan'.


Who decides the winners?

The community decides the assignment of the prizes at stake by voting for the best ads. Sometimes the BrandPotion team allots the jury prizes, called Big BrandPotion Awards. Sometimes the company assigns further prizes for the ads it feels suit the brand the most. When the contest closes, and after confirming the winning contributions are original, the prizes are assigned and published.


Who can vote for ads and how?

Only registered and logged in Beepers can vote for ads. Without logging in, contributions can only be viewed. Each Beeper can only vote for an ad once. Each Beeper's vote is calculated based on the number of stars given and the experience level of the Beeper, i.e. a Senior Beeper's vote counts for more than a Newbie Beeper's vote.


What is the seniority level among Beepers? Why can other users assign till 20 stars, and can I give at most only 5?

Every Beeper has a different seniority level. There are five levels: Newbie, Junior, Middle, Senior and Expert. Each level has a different number of stars to assign. If you have just registered on BrandPotion.com, your level is Newbie and you can vote using 1 to 5 stars. Junior from 1 to 10. Middle from 1 to 15. Senior from 1 to 20. The seniority level depends on the participation and on the activities you carry on in the website (number of ads published, number of comments, number of votes given to ads of other Users, etc.). Every User, whatever seniority level, has the same chance to win the contest


How are concepts rewarded?

The prizes won by video, print, radio and banner ads created using concepts posted by another Beeper, are subdivided between the concept author and the ad creator. 25% goes to the concept author and 75% to the ad creator. This rule is valid for the prizes assigned by the community, the Big BrandPotion Awards and also for the company prizes. The Honorable Mentions are not divided.


In addition, concepts will be voted by the community at large and awarded prizes accordingly. The prizes will be predetermined by the company of the brand hosting the contest.


Moreover, wherever applicable, the BrandPotion team may assign a Big BrandPotion Concept Award to a worthy concept. The prize will be assigned to the best concept regardless of whether it has been used to create an ad or not.


A concept of mine has been used by another Beeper, but he/she didn't declare it. What should I do?

You should contact the Beeper and write to the BrandPotion team, asking for the association between your concept and the work. The BrandPotion team will analyse the situation and will take a binding decision.


What are the Honourable Mentions?

At the end of each contest, the BrandPotion team can assign a number of Honourable Mentions to some good contributions, with bubbles as prizes. The Honourable Mentions are not specified in the total prizes from the beginning, because they depend on the results of the contest and they are assigned only in case there are a number of worthy contributions.


What if I don't follow the Terms & Conditions?

If the BrandPotion team verifies that you erred in following the Terms & Conditions, the company etiquette or Content Policy (for example, if you gain votes through false accounts), you will receive a warning. If the BrandPotion team does not receive an explanation or if the erring behaviour continues, the BrandPotion team is authorised to remove votes or posted contributions, temporarily or permanently ban the user, and exclude the Beeper from the community.


How are the prizes paid?

Winners will be contacted by the brands holding the contests, who will deliver the prizes as per their policy.


How can I check my bubble points?

You can check your bubble points on your personal page (My Page) whenever you want.
